Data protection
		XiTi.com subscribes to a transparency charter regarding respect for personal data collected from its users.

Confidentiality

XiTi is committed to being able to answer the following questions for every user:

What information is collected about you?
How is this information used?
Who else may be able to use this information?

XiTi collects certain details about you (an obligatory e-mail address, your name and address with paid-for versions only) when you sign up for XiTi's measuring services, which include the automatic receipt of a newsletter, and can if you wish include alert messages and custom reports sent with varying frequencies.
The information you agree to give us thus enables us to offer personalised services and to keep you informed of updates to our services.
The fact that you may see banners in XiTi reports and alert messages (only for users of the free version of XiTi) and newsletters explains both how we can offer free services and we can keep the prices of our paid-for solutions so competitive. A 100%-advertising-free (paid-for: other XiTi solutions) version is also available for anyone who prefers it. In addition, every e-mail message automatically offers you the option of unsubscribing from our newsletter.
The XiTi.com site is of course audited by the XiTi audience measurement and analysis system (Analyzer version). This means that we use a remote marker system that enables us to collect statistical data about our audience in order to improve the quality of our services and the user-friendliness of our site, just like all the other sites that use XiTi Analyzer.
The data collected when you subscribe can also be used in this context to refine our audience reports, still with the same purpose - improving our services.
Cookies are used solely to refine the analyses generated by the markers and to recognise repeat visitors. They are never used to collect details that could identify our visitors.
We may share some of these approved statistical data (but never details of individuals) with XiTi's users within the framework of comparative studies.

Publication of data

XiTi may also make public the data you have given us if we believe that the law makes this necessary or if it is needed to protect the property rights of our users or of XiTi.
At all times, XiTi users have the rights prescribed in the French data protection law 78-17 of 6 January 1978 (in particular, this includes the right to view and to correct your details).
To exercise these rights, users are invited to contact us using the form on the contact page. XiTi's CNIL (French national data protection commission) registration number is: 719067

Individual data protection

We draw your attention to the use of the public forums, where you may be required to give your identity or your e-mail address. This information is made public and may be used by third parties using the service.
Users can find information about their rights and obligations with respect to the protection of individuals' data at the website of the CNIL, the French national data protection commission (www.cnil.fr).
Users of the XiTi site are invited to inform XiTi of any failures of the site in relation to individual data protection.
